Post related to Cold weather advice, Pass the Baton

Did you know that 84% of domestic energy is used for heating and hot water? This shows just how important heating controls are in the constant battle to reduce energy bills.

The right heating controls will enable you to keep your home at a comfortable temperature without wasting fuel or heat, reducing your carbon dioxide emissions and helping you to spend less on your heating costs.

Temperature control is essential for energy-efficient home heating. Overheating a room wastes energy, however you also want to ensure that the rooms you are in maintain a comfortable temperature.

You can control room temperatures using a room thermostat, which will prevent your home from getting warmer than it needs to be. They will turn the heating on until the room reaches the desired temperature you have set, and then automatically switches the heating off once the set temperature has been reached.

For more sophisticated temperature control you can use a programmable room thermostat which combines temperature and time control in one unit, allowing you to set different temperatures for different times of the day.
