I have been having an ongoing discussion with my mother-in-law about whether or not we should all be keeping the heating on low and constantly, or switching it on and off with a timer. I think she found our house cold when she was here over christmas, and I am glad to think that she feels that she is able to keep her house warm enough as she is in her 80s. BUT! I am also very pleased and relieved to read in the Cold Weather Advice section that our on / off heating timer that targets our needs is actually the more energy efficent way to be heating our home.
