Post related to DIY Ideas, Final stretch

There are so many minor steps that can be taken when conserving heat in a property. Most people will be aware of the need for draughtproofing,  many  may not be aware of the hidden draughs which are present in most homes. I would particularly like to draw peoples attention to places where services pass through ground floors.  It is worth looking under gas and electricity meters for larger than necessary holes.  Below, and behind kitchen units are favourite places for sneaky draughts to creep in and make rooms colder than they should be.   A couple of hours  spent doing some investigation and filling can save pounds on you next heating bill.
